While in Belgium to work with Bries publishing on my book Check Points, I played with some new ideas for a small show at the Bries Space.

What started as a short stay at this bookstore with an upstairs apartment, turned into a drawing frenzy, a new body of work and a small exhibition. Much like the Check Points process of redrawing and simplifying subjects for the narrative. 

This new body of work (below) plays on the idea of a reader with some of my interest in the Belgium artist Georges Vantongerloo, who championed the philosophy of art to be part of everyday life and was known to meditate on the same image repeatedly in the studio.
