As a writer and illustrator of comics, Fikaris has been commissioned for short pieces in Australia with literary journals;
​Meanjin (Vol.6 No.2), Going Down Swinging (Issue 40) and The Lifted Brow (issues Issues 32, 39, 41, 45).

Fikaris has contributed to many comic anthologies around the world and has comic book series' published in France
(Useless Pilgrim 1-3, 2016)  and Italy (Stress Tests, 2020). 

​​​In 2022 his latest comic book 'SRY not Sorry' will be printed with European publisher Kús.
