While in Europe to promote my comic book Check Points, I spent some time at the wonderful Bries Space.

What started as a short stay at this bookstore with an upstairs apartment, turned into a drawing frenzy with a small exhibition. Much like the Check Points process of redrawing and simplifying subjects for a picture place narrative. 

This new work plays on some ideas taken from my interest in the Belgium artist Georges Vantongerloo, who championed the philosophy of art to be part of everyday life and was known to meditate on the same image repeatedly in the studio.
